Brenton is one of the most enthusiastic people we know. He has been climbing in the Tetons since the age of 14. Brenton’s Mom, Lyn Reagan first climbed the Grand Teton in 1981 and soon thereafter brought her son to the mountains. He never left. Now guiding and climbing all over the world he continues to train at Mountain Athlete and search for new challenges. Brenton climbs with his Mom to this day, including a recent one-day ascent of Teewinot for her 60th birthday.
An Exum Mountain Guide of eight years and a former member of the U.S. Marine Corps Infantry and Security Forces, he has many mountaineering accomplishments to his credit including ascents and ski descents in Teton and Wind River ranges, ascents in the Canadian Rockies and expeditions Denali. Major expeditions have included the West Ridge of Khan Tengri in the Tien-Shan mountains of Kazakhstan and a 2003 Khumbu Exploratory Expedition, Nepal, the Rio Murta Group in Northern Chilean Patagonia, as well as Fitzroy and Guillamet in Argentina. His first ascents include “El Pilar” and “Cerro Liso” in Mexico and Peak 5,880, Khumbu, Nepal. He is a past recipient of the Anatoli Boukreev Memorial Fund Grant.
